Ms North America United Nations 2016 Amber Martinez

Name: Amber Martinez
Age: 32 yrs
Height: 170 cm
Occupation: TV Host/Actress/Print Model.
Hobbies: My hobbies include helping others, charity work, yoga, meditation, writing poems and music, dancing, hiking, adventures, exploring new places, and painting. I have worked with, volunteered for, or contributed through donations and charity events to Soles for Souls, Walk for Warmth, Habitat for Humanity (I put up drywall and helped build a house), Race for a Cure, The Art of Elysium, Care Rescue LA, Safe Passage and many others. Safe Passage, is a very important charity to me. As a survivor of Domestic Violence, I hope to one day own my own charity to devote my time, compassion, and efforts to nurturing and rehabilitating other survivors as well. It is important to build women up and show them that they are beautiful inside and out, even after a tragedy. Another charity that I enjoy and love to support, is The Art of Elysium. I had the privilege of volunteering for an event to aid medically fragile children, who are going through rehabilitation, surviving tragedies, and overcoming obstacles. This program also supports happiness and good spirits among the children, making their medical rehabilitation easier. I look forward to working with them more in the future. If I win Ms United Nations 2016 and there is any kind of prize winnings, I will be donating a good portion of that, to these aforementioned charities.
Why do you want to enter? I think the United Nations Pageant is a wonderful pageant. The pageant allows people from all nations, who believe in both changing the World for the better by their charitable contributions to society. As well as representing and embracing their true selves as individuals. I honestly believe in making the World a better place and I love helping people. We as people are all one and the same. If you are able to love yourself, then you can project the same love to those around you, essentially making the World a better place through kindness and genuine understanding. I’m honored to be a part of this pageant. I look forward to meeting other men and women who support these notions of aiding others and World Peace. It would be a very great honor to be named Ms United Nations 2016. If I received the title, I would use it only to promote goodwill and aid to others.

Name: Natalie Moloney
Age: 27 yrs

Occupation:  Creative Director, Events / Founder Non-Profit Organisation
Hobbies: Travel, writing, photography, reading, organizing fundraising events, volunteering and spending time with friends and family. .
Why do you want to enter?
Why do you want to enter?
I would love to be a part of this incredible programme as I am very excited about the prospect of meeting people from different cultures and learning about their customs and traditions. To represent my country would be an honour and I like to think I would make Great Britain proud as I am hardworking, dedicated and passionate about making a difference.
I have shown that I am hardworking by launching my own business and winning multiple awards before my company was one year old. Pink Lemonade Productions, my company, was also in the final ten businesses to be short listed for Britain’s Most Inspirational Small Business Award. I have shown that I am dedicated as I use my company resources to fundraising for charities and this year I organized and been involved in events that have raised over £5,000. And I have shown that I am passionate about making a difference by volunteering and becoming involved with various charities and organizations that mean a lot to me. I am part of a volunteer team for my local soup kitchen and I am an ambassador for Footprints Around the World, an international anti-bullying charity that is also trying to break the stigma of mental health issues and prevent suicide.
I am also an ambassador for the Live Love Laugh Foundation, providing backpacks and essentials to children and teenagers in refuges and emergency accommodation, and  Patron for the Teapot Project, a food outlet that intercepts food waste and provides meals on a ‘pay what you can’ basis to the general public.
On top of all this, I have my own charitable projects; The Inner Beauty Initiative, promoting self esteem in teenagers, and The Very Merry Christmas Project, providing gifts for children in the care system. I have huge ambitions for the future as I am passionate about making a difference for future generations in any way possible. I want to inspire and empower the women of our future to make a difference, too. They are the doctors, the diplomats, the Members of Parliament, the nurses, the businesswomen and the leaders of the next generation.
My immediate ambitions are to champion even more causes that I believe in and roll out the Inner Beauty Initiative nationally. I will dedicate myself to becoming the best role model I can be, and a daughter, mother, wife, friend, and member of the community that people can be proud of. I aspire to be very much at the heart of my local community, and that of the much wider community by continuing to show my support to various causes.
Long term, I would love to be a role model and spokesperson for the United Nations and help to make the changes necessary to the world to preserve it for our future children, grandchildren and their future generations.

Mrs USA United Nations 2016 Wendi Russo

Name: Wendi Russo
Age: 48 yrs
Height: 170 cm
Occupation: Television Host
Hobbies: Modeling, Hosting local shows and emceeing Charity events, Media Training, Image Consulting, Voice overs for radio and TV, Life & Pageant Coaching for young women, Crafting, Fashion, Decorating, Writing, and Traveling
Why do you want to enter? I love what the Mrs. United Nations system represents–“For the Glamour, For the Purpose, For the World.” by Unifying many countries through Pageantry, helping to magnify the charitable impact that one title holder can have and expanding it to a Global level. I’m a big believer in thinking beyond my state lines and beyond my country. I married a man from Italy while on vacation who’s second language is English, and have helped raise funds for International Organizations like “Shared Hope International” for children trafficked around the world. The title of Mrs. USA United Nations would allow me to continue my good works of building a better life for children through mentoring and the many Charitable organizations I’ve worked with for 10+ years (Children’s Cancer Research, Make-A-Wish, Big Brothers Big Sisters Mentoring), but it will also help me grow as a person, to connect with others from different cultures but with similar goals. As a mentor, my goal is to help women and children recognize the gifts God has bestowed on them and to encourage them to pursue their dreams in whatever form, allowing them to be a beacon of light to others who have yet to recognize their gifts. Having entered my very first pageant at the age of 40, an age most would say I should no longer be competing, I am inspired by a system that seeks Inner Beauty as the main trait, as we all know that external beauty is fleeting. I created the “Inner Beauty Pageant” for disadvantaged children for this very reason. There is so much more to beauty and as one 6- year old stated in my last Inner Beauty pageant interview, “I know I am beautiful because of my heart”. It is your heart that one is judged on in this pageant, creativity to make a difference in the world around them, and the level of passion one has to bring their ideas to life. I love that you want people who are living fearlessly and fully, making life more beautiful for those around them and inspiring people to do something to help others through Pageantry. I would be honored to represent the USA in promoting this unique and global pageant system through media attention and social media, and I plan to inspire a sense of community in Pageantry around the world.

Mrs Ukraine United Nations 2016 Larysa Superfin

Name: Larysa Superfin
Age: 35 yrs
Height: 172 cm
Occupation: Lawyer
Hobbies: Music, dance and psychology.
Why do you want to enter?I want to win this competition , to make the world better and kinder! To end war and there is peace in the world.

Mrs Jamaica United Nations 2016 Dr Peta-gay Chen-Ledbetter

Name: Dr.Peta-gay Chen Ledbetter
Age: 47 yrs
Height: 168 cm
Occupation: Psychologist
Hobbies: Singing, dancing, skydiving and volunteering.
Why do you want to enter? I enter this pageant to raise more public awareness about the prevalence of sexual assault. One in 3 women and 1 in 5 men will experience interpersonal violence in their lifetime. This rate has not decreased in several decades and in fact, is worse if one considers human trafficking rates globally. Silence perpetuates the violence. This is due to the stigma and shame experienced by each survivor. I myself, am a 30-year survivor of an assault and I will not be silent . I will continue to be a voice for those who feel they have no voice. I will be a role model for healing and wholeness. I want others to know that thriving and not just surviving is possible. I will NOT be silent. My journey as a survivor has been my driving force to help others heal. It is why I became an RN, why I returned for my Masters in Counseling, why I continued my education to earn dual PhDs in Educational Psychology and Individual Differences. My passion to help others heal is why I have been a 13-year volunteer with HAWC to counsel survivors. Why I am involved in multiple state, national and international agencies such as TAASA, NAAPISEV, Elijah Rising. Love143, Hope House and many others. I speak publicly as the opportunity arises, to bring awareness because it is getting worse, not better. My ultimate goal is to represent my country international and make my homeland proud because I will not be silent!
