Title: Little Miss United Nations 2016
Chloe Russo, an 11-year old, from Minnesota in the USA has always had a heart for helping others. At 6-years old she held her first annual Lemonade Stand to benefit Children's cancer research, raising over $1500. She has been featured on the local news, in the local newspaper and has raised over $8500 for her cause.
Chloe has also won the Presidents' Gold volunteer service award for the last two years for contributing over 100 hours of service each year with various charities including packing meals for Feed My Starving Children, Kids Against Hunger, Making blankets for Kids at the Childrens' Hospital, collecting canned food for her local food shelf, raising money for the Humane Society and collecting toys at the holidays for kids less fortunate.
Chloe was inspired to start a Free 'Inner Beauty Pageant' for little girls at the Boys and Girls Club after dropping off school supply donations and the girls wanted to try on her crown, asking how much it is to do a pageant? Realizing these girls could not afford to enter one, Chloe and her Mom created an opportunity for every little girl to recognize their talents and abilities through Pageantry. Chloe helps to train the contestants, collect crowns and crown the contestants.
For the past 3 years, Chloe has helped raise money for Make-A-Wish program through the 'Queens for Dreams' walking team, helping to fulfill a special wish for a child with a terminal illness.
Chloe's wish is to see every child happy, loved and able to play without sickness or poverty.
